The Children’s Consortium, incorporated in 1973, provides programs and services that empower families to reach their full potential. As Central New York’s parenting resource, the agency provides diverse and direct services to improve literacy, parenting skills, adult education, early childhood education and professional development.

The Children’s Consortium is now in schools, families’ homes, day care provider homes, hospitals, and community agencies throughout Onondaga County. Our programs focus on strengthening the role of parents and caregivers as the first and most important teacher of their own children. The key components of our programs and services are to provide parenting education and early childhood education with a primary focus on helping families reach a measure of stability and children to become successful in school.
