Mission, Vision, Values

Mission

Our Mission is to provide programs and services, including home and center-based services, which empower families to reach their full potential.

Vision

Our Vision is a community in which all children and their parents and caregivers realize their educational goals, live in safe and nurturing environments, and are economically self-sufficient.

Core Values

To ensure we can accomplish our vision and mission, our actions and behaviors will always reflect the following Core Values and Beliefs:

  • To preserve the integrity, unity and diversity of all families in Onondaga County.
  • To provide services with honesty, compassion and patience with each and every family.
  • To empower children and families to be self-sufficient, productive, and healthy contributors to society, making healthy choices.
  • That each and every individual and family is unique, with their own strengths and abilities to succeed and all deserve a fair and equal chance.
  • Program implementation will respect individual learning styles and methodology will be adapted accordingly.
  • Parents are the first and best teachers of their children.
  • Showing tolerance, trust and respect for fellow co-workers, board of directors members, and the community we serve.
  • High quality programs will be developed through scientifically based research and accurate assessment, so that positive change in the lives of families can be achieved.
  • Communicating in an open, positive manner at all times.
