Parent Academy

Because kids don’t come with manuals!

The Parent Academy at the Children’s Consortium is designed to be flexible around the needs and schedules of parents. Workshops are effective because they provide opportunities for interaction among parents, practice of concepts and techniques learned, and individualized problem solving.

We recognize that each child is unique and uniquely special, but that some children require more support than others. We believe in teamwork and collaboration between parents and professionals. We believe that a helped parent is a helped child.

Services are:

• Responsive to Community Needs--We are constantly assessing the gaps in services and developing new services to meet your needs.

How to register:

We prefer for you to register for workshops online at http://childrensconsortium.eventbrite.org. You may use Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover for online payment. Payment and completed registration must be received by the date posted for each workshop. If you are unable to register online, you may call 315-471-8331 to register by phone. Please have your credit card ready for payment. If you prefer to pay by check or cash, you may mail or drop off payment at our office.

Walk-In Policy

If the registration deadline has passed, you may still be able to attend the workshop. Please call 315-471-8331. You must bring payment with you and will be assessed a $5 late payment fee at the door.

Cancellations

All workshops have a minimum registration requirement. If a workshop will be cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified 2 days in advance of the workshop and given a full refund or the option to apply payment to a future workshop.

Refunds

Refunds are granted for cancellations made at least 3 business days prior to the training date. Cancellations after that date will not receive a refund.
