Drop In
Parents and their children (up to age 5) gather to play, learn, and socialize
![]()
Play is among the most vital activities that young children can engage in. It teaches them cooperation, encourages sharing, fosters imagination, and helps them develop all-important social skills.
That’s why parent/child groups centered on playroom activities have always been a critical part of the Children’s Consortium programming. Our playrooms—with toys, games, puzzles, art supplies, playhouses, and more—give young children ample opportunities to learn and to express themselves.
\The playrooms also serve as centers for our popular Drop-In, which include music, singing, art projects and more; a chance to talk to our skilled staff of Parent Educators; or just “hang loose.” Drop-In offers the best of both worlds: a chance for parents to meet to gain mutual support and an opportunity to spark children’s creativity.
"Drop In" on Thursdays
10:00 – 11:00 am.
